CHAPTER 3

 

                                  Consequently, Srila Vyasadeva is a guru. He dose not misinterpret the worlds of Krsna but transmit them exactly as they were spoken. If we send a telegram, the person who delivers the telegram dose not have to correct it, edit it, or add to it. He simply presents it. That is the guru's business. The guru may be this person or that, but the message is the same; therefore it is said that guru is one.

                     The bona fide guru will simply present what the supreme guru God, says in bona fide scripture. A guru cannot change the message of the disciple succession. 

                      We must understand that we cannot carry out research to find the Absolute truth. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Himself said, ''My Guru maharaja, My spiritual master, considered Me a great fool.'' He who remains a great fool before his guru is a guru himself. However, if one says,'' he is simply a rascal. In the Bhagavad-gita (4.2) Sri Krsna says:

''This supreme science was thus received through the chain of disciple succession, and the saintly kings understood it in that way. But in course of time the succession was broken, and therefore the science as it is appears to be lost.''  

                              नतीजतन, श्रील व्यासदेव एक गुरु हैं। वह कृष्ण की दुनिया की गलत व्याख्या नहीं करते हैं, बल्कि उन्हें वैसे ही प्रसारित करते हैं जैसे वे बोले गए थे। यदि हम टेलीग्राम भेजते हैं, तो टेलीग्राम खुराक देने वाले व्यक्ति को इसे ठीक करने, संपादित करने या जोड़ने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। वह बस इसे प्रस्तुत करता है। यही गुरु का काम है। गुरु यह व्यक्ति या वह हो सकता है, लेकिन संदेश वही है; इसलिए कहा जाता है कि गुरु एक है।

                     प्रामाणिक गुरु केवल वही प्रस्तुत करेगा जो सर्वोच्च गुरु ईश्वर, प्रामाणिक शास्त्र में कहता है। एक गुरु शिष्य उत्तराधिकार के संदेश को नहीं बदल सकता।

                      हमें यह समझना चाहिए कि हम परम सत्य को खोजने के लिए शोध नहीं कर सकते। चैतन्य महाप्रभु ने स्वयं कहा, ''मेरे गुरु महाराज, मेरे आध्यात्मिक गुरु, मुझे एक महान मूर्ख मानते थे।'' जो अपने गुरु के सामने एक महान मूर्ख रहता है वह स्वयं गुरु है। हालांकि, अगर कोई कहता है, '' वह केवल एक धूर्त है । भगवद-गीता (4.2) में श्री कृष्ण कहते हैं:

'इस प्रकार यह सर्वोच्च विज्ञान शिष्य उत्तराधिकार की श्रृंखला के माध्यम से प्राप्त हुआ था, और संत राजाओं ने इसे इस तरह समझा। लेकिन कालांतर में उत्तराधिकार टूट गया, और इसलिए विज्ञान जैसा है वैसा ही खो गया प्रतीत होता है।''
